Busy, busy, busy. That's what life has been like around here the past few weeks. But in a really good way. We had a great Easter and Brad's parents came into town last weekend, so it has been nice to be around family.
On the Saturday before Easter, our subdivision had its annual Easter egg hunt. It was fun to actually be part of it this year! Jenny, Doug, and Libby came over for it. They had over 700 eggs hidden behind our houses, and the weather was perfect. John and Libs did really good too...they really got the hang of it. Here are some pictures:

Waiting for the fun to start.
So excited!
Found one!
Libby got a lot too~she was so funny when she discovered there was CANDY inside!!
"How many did you get?"
The Easter bunny came to our house on Sunday and brought John a table and chairs, along with a basket full of coloring stuff, his latest obsession. Mainly he likes to carry the crayons around and occasionally put them in his mouth. Sometimes he actually will draw on the paper. He seems to know what to do at least!

Ready for church in my Easter best.
We had Easter dinner at our house this year, which was fun and low key. It was such a beautiful day out, so we played outside and went to the park.

Brad's parents came this past weekend. My mother in law had a work conference all day on Friday near us, so my father in law came on Thursday night and babysat John on Friday. We had a great weekend. We took John to swimming on Saturday and then went to the zoo. John kept us all entertained by doing laps around the house, talking up a storm, and eating snacks like crazy. Although his favorite snack of the weekend were bananas, so it could be worse :)

On Saturday night we went out to dinner. For dessert we all split a chocolate cake with ice cream, which of course John loved. My father in law bought John some dilly bars from Dairy Queen and a neat little holder so it won't drip. So Don, these are for you (the stick was too thick for the holder though...not that he let much drip anyways!) John had his first Dilly Bar for dessert last night and was in HEAVEN. He is so my kid. He literally attacked this thing. I tried to take it away, not intending he would eat all of it. You would have thought I took his arm off. So Brad gave it back and just kept taking big bites off. John got that stick dry to the last lick! HA!
