Fun Weekend
This weekend we had a lot of fun just hanging out at home. Friday night we went out to dinner at a local brewery and then just came back home and played. John is getting such a little personality, and it seems like every week is doing so much more. He is pointing at anything and everything, nodding and shaking his head, and "communicating" so much more. His new thing is to put his hands up when we say "All gone" or "All done" or "I don't know." He has started to do it on his own when he is finished eating. It cracks me up. Yesterday we went to my cousin's 4th birthday party and John and Libby had fun tearing apart the play room. This morning we went to our Palm Sunday church service. For this service, our church meets in the parlor and the pastor reads the gospel, and then the members proceed inside holding their palms. Well, of course John was front and center, standing right in front of our pastor while he was reading the gospel, just smiling and holding his palm up. It was so sweet. It made me all teary! I wish I could have taken a picture. I was telling Brad, I am just so proud of him all the time. We are so lucky to have him in our lives! Today we ventured out to meet the Easter Bunny. Expecting disaster, we just headed to the "cheapest" bunny in town...but he did great! He was waving to the bunny while we were waiting in line, and blowing him kisses. I was so surprised! We had to wait long to actually get our pictures at the end, so they threw in an extra free shot :) After the bunny we headed to get some ice cream. Here is a short video of John eating his (but for some reason I can't get it so it is not sideways...sorry!). He is insistent on feeding himself the past few days, but he is actually doing pretty well...it just gets pretty messy!
